[display_name id=”0″]An enlarged prostate is clinically called, BPH which means benign prostate hyperplasia. The most common symptoms are; sensation of not emptying your bladder completely after you finished urinating, urinate again less than two hours after you finished urinating, started again several times when you urinated, difficult to postpone urination, weak urinary stream, push or strain to begin urination, and getting up numerous times during the night to urinate. They have several good medications for BPH and you will see them advertised on TV quite a lot but some you won’t see which are less expensive are, Hytrin, Cardura, and a little more expensive but very good is Flomax. I’ve taken Hytrin for about 10 years and Walmart has it for $10.00 for 90 capsules. Maybe if he can get a prescription you can get it for him and in jail they will probably let him take it, although they might administer it to him.

Does using Benedryl cause enlarged prostate?

[display_name id=”0″]No, Benadryl itself does not cause enlarged prostate in normal individuals. If you already have an enlarged prostate (BPH) it can exacerbate your condition. The way that the drug works (anticholinergic mechanism) can cause urinary retention by blocking urinary flow.

[display_name id=”0″]Boy, I never heard of an enlarged prostrate for a 28 year old. I have had an enlarged prostrate for ten years, but I am pushing 70! I don’t understand did you receive the anal intercourse or did you give it to a girl or guy? In any event I have never heard that anal intercourse has any effect on the prostrate. If you are seeing a Urologist, maybe a change is in order. And if your only seeing an MD, I would ask for a referral to a Urologist.
I told my Urologist that my father had an enlarged prostrate and had it removed sometime in his 60’s.
28 wow! I sure would like to know the result as this is an interesting question.
